The famous red and black stripes are thinner than last season and the big collar from last season has been replaced by a smart red and black v-neck design that features the Italian flag. Between every black vertical stripe there's a small pinstripe to add another element of detail to the shirt. The kit was a beauty; the fierce red and black stripes were complimented with white sponsoring and classy black and red collar. The sleeves were black, and the kit was completed with a fine gold trim that ran around the edges.

For the fourth time in the last three Champions League tournaments, Milan were matched-up against Barcelona. Milan were then drawn against Atlético Madrid in the round of 16, who defeated them over both legs.
